Dr. Don Demas’s Legacy of Smiles

After decades of dedicated service, Dr. Don Demas is retiring. His passion for creating beautiful smiles has left a lasting impact on the Southington community, and we’re thrilled to celebrate both his incredible legacy and the exciting new chapter ahead.

Background and Education

Since high school, Dr. Demas knew that he wanted to pursue a career in orthodontics. His interest stemmed from his love of working with his hands and the sciences.

Dr. Demas is a graduate of the University of Illinois’ College of Dentistry. After receiving his dental degree, he went on to complete a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Following his residency, Dr. Demas specialized in pediatric dentistry at a private practice for four years before moving into orthodontics. He earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master’s Degree at the University of Maryland. This was followed by a one-year fellowship in the treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and the use of dental appliances in sleep apnea at the University of Kentucky.
