DR. DAVID DANIELS, DMD, MS
Dr. Dave's Story
Dr. David Daniels was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, however he was born in New York City. He went to Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate education, where he was a pitcher for their baseball team and graduated cum laude with Honors in American History. During his time at Vanderbilt, he set two career records as a pitcher. After graduation, he continued his baseball career as he pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, and St. Louis Cardinals organizations for six seasons. When right elbow surgery ended his baseball career, Dr. Daniels returned to school for his dental education to become an orthodontist.
For his dental education, Dr. Daniels attended the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with his D.M.D. and then continued training for his orthodontic specialty at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. During his time at Tufts, he balanced his clinical training with a Masters of Science, as well as conducting research on the effects of a non-compliance based alternative to "headgears." After his residency at Tufts, Dr. Daniels had two extremely valuable experiences in two different orthodontic practices in Northern Virginia and Southeastern Connecticut. Following those experiences, he opened Daniels Orthodontics in 2015.
When he opened Daniels Orthodontics, Dr. Daniels committed himself to providing consistent clinical excellence and giving back to his community. He is very passionate about designing and building beautiful, healthy smiles. His family driven, friendly and quality practice here in Cheshire is committed to carrying out his mission.
Dr. Daniels is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), New England Society of Orthodontists (NESO), and Connecticut State Dental Association. He enjoys being a part of these organizations in order to stay committed to excellence in education and technology within the orthodontic field.
Currently, Dr. Dave resides in Cheshire with his son Henry and daughter Rumi. While not in the office, he enjoys running, attempting challenging recipes, coaching Cheshire Youth Baseball, and speaking to children on the importance of balancing education with sports.
